LA CALAVERA (1992 LP) REMASTERED
GUILTFILTER RECORDS have remastered Guiltfilter’s 1994 debut album La Calavera. A heavy three peice band from St Kilda, Guiltfilter originated in 1993 from members of local outfits The Dolls and Hazchem. Enjoy re-visiting this post-apocalyptic time-twisted mutilated occult rock from the early 90's heavy prog-rock fatwa in Melbourne and to quote producer Michael Letho: "Please note that although we tried our darndest, no Fairchild 670's were destroyed during the making of this album..".
Recording notes:
Originally released on May 5 in 1994, La Calavera was recorded in Platinum’s Studio 1 in Melbourne and was engineered and produced by Michael Letho. Album cover art by Drew Bassford and photography by Melbourne visual artist Mike Patton. The album was originally distributed by Shock Records in Australia & Europe. All songs Benvenga/Bassford/Morris.

The Best of The Dolls REMASTERED compilation

GUILTFILTER RECORDS has remastered eight of the narliest tracks from early 90s band The Dolls - a Melbourne outfit who moved down from Sydney in 1990 and found a decent following playing The Gershwin Room and The Tote and supported the Beasts Of Bourbon, Cosmic Psycos & Nirvana along the way. The Dolls released two full-length EPs in ‘92 before they became Guiltfilter in 1993. This new compilation album has been remastered for streaming.
Recording notes: Live Porn tracks (1,3,4,7,8) originally recorded live at the Palace in Melbourne by Andrew Porter with overdubs and mixing at Fortissimo Studios and released on NRG Records in 1992. L.A. tracks (2,5,6) originally recorded at Atlantis Studios in Melbourne with Jed Starr producing and Jim Nicolaides and Nathan Binstock engineering and released on Sugar Daddy records and distributed by MDS.
