So what if in like 10 years we look at wifi and smartphones like ciggarettes? Remember for over a 100 years we though ciggies were good for you? Well smartphones, especially iPhones, give out tons of EMF bad vibe waves that are making us very sick and we hold them to our heads and keep them near our crotch!! Could be a load of crap but I don't think so, let‘s talk again in ten years to find out, or better yet I shall do a follow up post in, well, better be five years because with all that wifi and smartphones everywhere.. Anayway GUILTFILTER RECORDS recommends going OFFLINE immediately because that is the name of my upcoming album and oh.. my.. god.. it is going to be sooo damn troublemaking and subversive you are going to love it! HOMAGE TO CATELONIA

In this weeks offline activities I have been reading Homage To Catelonia by George Orwell, the greatest anti capitalism/facism/communism/propaganda writer ever I reckon. Thought I had read all his books but missed this fantastic non-fiction recounting of his time spent fighting for the CNT/POUM anarchists and democratic socialists in the Spanish civil war in the 1930s. Unlike many celebs who spent that war in plush hotels George enlisted as a grunt for the POUM and served on the frontlines and was in Barcelona for the famous May fighting. I have been facinated by this era in Spain mainly because the anarchists actually got in power for a while and then, of couse, said everyone do what you want; so the facists and communist fucked it all with their bullshit propaganda hiding the fact they were basically wanted the same thing: a cental government run by them and they mates so a few have all the power and money and what is politics but money in another name? Anyway the good guys lost to the facist Franco, mainly because the Stalinists fucked it by preventing the revolution and accusing anyone who wanted people power a dreaded Trotyisk, and Orwell was shot through the neck and never really recovered and came to dispise nearly all lare media corporations for the rest of his life - but as he says in the final chapter:

There are occasions when it pays better to fight and be beaten than not to fight at all.

You fucking well go Orwell you bloody beauty! He was 6' 2" and spent much of his time on the frontlines freezing to death and reading in the most horrible yet war-typical conditions. It seems to me that if there is a greater coward than he who starts and profits from war (always the same-same as a double-speaker would say) then I have not found them in history, fiction or anywhere. So to end this section here is another Homage To Catelonia quote on that subject:

All the war-propaganda, all the screaming and lies and hatred, comes invariably from people who are not fighting.

THE RFK TRAIN

Now finally there is a massive effort by every media company in the world to pretend the independent candidate Robert F Kennedy Jr does not exist, he is more popular than Ross Perot if you remember him and way more popular than the rigged 2 party system candidates - and boy am I on the RFK train big time! And I have never voted ever and hate all ism‘s ‘cept existentialism, wow what a dude he is! Go to his youtube and hear his peacful vision to stop forever wars and bring back the actual middle class, he is the first polly since forever to get standing ovations from pretty much every media scrum that interviews him (If you don‘t belive me watch the end of the video here - the actual interview, starting back at 17 minutes is truly astounding) and the propaganda machines of the media are terrified of him and the trillionares even more so. And that brought me to a very interesting interview he did regarding EMF death rays pouring out of wifi and smartphones - both those things will likely be illegal in ten years once we make a better and safer way to do those things. Anyhow have a gander at RFK‘s videos here it is a great place to get started. Or don‘t, as a dyed in the wool misanthrope with existential leanings I don‘t give a fuck either way. LA CALAVERA (1992 LP) REMASTERED

GUILTFILTER RECORDS have remastered Guiltfilter’s 1994 debut album La Calavera. A heavy three peice band from St Kilda, Guiltfilter originated in 1993 from members of local outfits The Dolls and Hazchem. Enjoy re-visiting this post-apocalyptic time-twisted mutilated occult rock from the early 90's heavy prog-rock fatwa in Melbourne and to quote producer Michael Letho: "Please note that although we tried our darndest, no Fairchild 670's were destroyed during the making of this album..".

Recording notes: Originally released on May 5 in 1994, La Calavera was recorded in Platinum’s Studio 1 in Melbourne and was engineered and produced by Michael Letho. Album cover art by Drew Bassford and photography by Melbourne visual artist Mike Patton. The album was originally distributed by Shock Records in Australia & Europe. The Best of The Dolls REMASTERED compilation

GUILTFILTER RECORDS has remastered eight of the narliest tracks from early 90s band The Dolls - a Melbourne outfit who moved down from Sydney in 1990 and found a decent following playing The Gershwin Room and The Tote and supported the Beasts Of Bourbon, Cosmic Psycos & Nirvana along the way. The Dolls released two full-length EPs in ‘92 before they became Guiltfilter in 1993. This new compilation album has been remastered for streaming.

Recording notes: Live Porn tracks (1,3,4,7,8) originally recorded live at the Palace in Melbourne by Andrew Porter with overdubs and mixing at Fortissimo Studios and released on NRG Records in 1992. L.A. tracks (2,5,6) originally recorded at Atlantis Studios in Melbourne with Jed Starr producing and Jim Nicolaides and Nathan Binstock engineering and released on Sugar Daddy records and distributed by MDS.
